Dear God,

Here I am ready to talk to you again

Before my day is about to begin.

You bless me with a beautiful sunrise right from the very start

I come to you with thanksgiving and praises in my heart.

I enjoy with you my quiet time of devotions

You know what lies within my spirit and my emotions.

You hear me express my joys, concerns, answer to prayers and requests.

In your responses, you provide for me what you see best.

As I go about my day in living life

I try to be loving and helpful to those in strife.

I try walking Christ like among my sisters and brothers

However, I admit because of sin nature, I sometimes fail you and others.

Your son Jesus came to this earth not only to show us how to live

He took another step further, died on the cross and asked you to forgive.

When the end of the day comes near I once again give you praises and thanksgiving

Because of you God, I lived another day that is a life worth living.
